DAY #10.

the last day of our east coast extravaganza.

-10:00am church

union first ward 

144 west 15^th street

{we really didn't go to the union first ward. but we did take pictures in front of the temple!}

-eat sunday brunch at our most favoritest breakfast spot in all the world

{best fresh-squeezed oj. best!}

-green flea market, upper west side

{paige and i love mim. she is entertaining. and we would have loved to see her on broadway in wonderland, but it closed two weeks before we got there. however, we DID catch her on a few billboards and posters throughout the city. LOVED it. ya look great mim!}

DAY #9.

it's saturday may 21st.

and it is a LOVELY day. a lovely day for a stroll through brooklyn.

DAY #8.

this day needs some explanation:

the forecast predicted rain everyday of our trip, luckily it was wrong most of the time, but on friday, may 20th, it was not.  

rain is sometimes pleasant. sometimes i really like rain.

however, it isn't that welcomed when

1-we are on vacation in a place that we walk everywhere.

2-i am sick and hacking up a lung.

but other than that, it's great.

this should explain why there are hardly any pictures on this post and why the itinerary is scarce. i spent most of my day laying in the incredibly comfortable bed in my hotel room and watching the rain fall out my window.

there was however:

-sarabeth's

{this was pretty darn good, but the best thing was the pan-roasted chicken with roasted garlic mash, haricot verts, and chicken ajus. oh! but the warm goat cheese and spinach salad with a citrus vinaigrette was SO GOOD too.}

{paige got the 3 cheese mac and cheese with brie, white cheddar and monterrey jack ... "best mac and cheese ever!"}

-magnolia bakery

{paige being birthed - her word's not mine - and some key lime cheesecake.}

-and the upper west side in general

{the reason i ever fell in love with new york city was because i was obsessed with the movie you've got mail. my friends from high school can attest to that. the first time i went to new york, i remember remarking that "it was even better than it appears in you've got mail!"}

{fairway flowers and magnolia treats ... what could be better?}

all things i love and quite enjoyed.

maybe next time the rapper will show up if it doesn't rain.

i just remembered that i forgot something on day #6.

BIG nick's.

hello! this is like my fave place for delectable pizza on the west side. in fact, my posse wanted to eat there two nights in a row. that's how much we love this place.

to quote virgin city guides "big nick's is a 24 hour dump that inspires affection; loosen your belt buckle."

paige and i took a nice little stroll after our big meal. picture this: a walk around town on a rainy evening in may on the upper west side. not a dream. real life {i've said that before ... what can i say, i'm livin the dream folks}.

DAY #7.

-6:30am temple session

bright and early. no pictures.

-central park and alice

we went to dylan's the first time i went to new york. we haven't gone to new york since without stopping at dylan's to feed our sweet tooth {teeth?}.

-8:00pm WICKED

-walk to the subway station, see times square along the way.

{times square at night is a little bit crazy. ie: i got offered obama condoms twice. tmi?}
